<p><b>All fields option</b><br>

Under 'All fields' the search engine automatically applies a full-text search in all fields that produces results reflecting exactly the searched string of characters, you can use the following options in this mode:</p>

<p><i>Truncation</i><br>
To obtain words or expressions that contain the string of characters, you need to manually add the truncation symbol * right (e.g. creat* will produce creation, create, creator; etc.)</p>

<p><i>Boolean operator</i><br>
The search engine allows you to combine your search terms to target your search at a more specific area.<br/>
+abc +xyz: forces the search engine to find result wich contain the abc AND xyz strings <br/>
+abc -xyz: forces the search engine to find result which contain the abc string, but it will eliminate the xyz string from the result.<br/>

<i>Expression</i><br>
To retrieve the records that match your search term precisely, simply type the phrase enclosed within double or simple quotation marks. For example 'Alexander the Great'
</p>

<p><b>Individual field option</b><br>
In this mode, the search engine will search the exact string and automatically apply right and left truncation (e.g. hang will produce Shanghai, yinhang, hangzhou, xin shanghai, hangzhouwan, hangzhou, etc.) You can also use these options:</p>
<p>
<i>Explicit truncation</i><br/>
If you want to define truncation manually, you can add * after or before the string to apply only a right or left truncation</p>
<p>
<i>Mathematical operator sample</i>:<br/>
<b>=</b>xyz: will limit the search exactly to the string of characters<br/>
<b>></b> >1900 will : will produce documents dated from 1900 and after (if field is date)<br/>
<b><</b> <1900: will produce documents dated from 1900 and befores
(if the field is date)</p>
<p><i>Other operator</i>:<br/>
<b>=empty</b> to find records where the field contains no value<br/>
<b>=notempty</b> to find records where the field contains one or more character</p>
